 Two unlike charges separated by a distance of 1m attract each other with a force 0.108N. If the charges are in the ratio 1:3, the weak charge is?

A. 2 micro C

B. 4 micro C

Let two charges have a magnitude of q and 3q. Distance between them is 1 m.So 9*10^9*3q^2/1 = .108This gives q^2 = 4*10^-12Or q = 2*10^-6 = 2 micro C. So answer (A) is right.
